Era la Notte
Anna Caterina Antonacci
Night conveys darkness, secrets, betrayal, absence. But it is also a time for metamorphosis and self-discovery. In the U.S. premiere of this staged production by Juliette Deschamps, acclaimed Italian soprano Anna Caterina Antonacci portrays a love-crazed woman who redefines herself as she heals her own broken existence, bringing to life tender works from 17th-century Italy on her quest toward a personal dawn.
